Interview Questions (Profile Essay)

Since previously posted I found the subject of my intended profile piece was very put off by the idea of an interview. Instead of putting strain between a friendship I decided to focus on someone I know suffering from paranoid anxiety. The anxiety effects his every day life, every hour, every minute, ever second. Some questions I would like to pose are:

When were you diagnosed with paranoid anxiety?

What brought about an appointment with a doctor to see if you had a condition?

Did you experience any traumatic events leading up to the diagnosis?

Was there a time you can remember not having paranoid anxiety?

How does it effect school work?

How does it effect social life?

Is there anything more troubling that you have anxiety about than others?

Why do you chose not to take medication?

Have you ever considered medication?

Do you take any steps to calm yourself in an attack?

What are the feelings during an attack?

Simplify (Advice for Writers)

The section I found to be most helpful to me is the section on simplifying text. I find a lot of times I have a lot of "fuzz" as the author puts it, that gets into my work. When in my non-fiction and fiction workshops I found myself reading my own work and it being unclear and garbled. It's hard when trying to get all your thoughts and points down for the reader and trying to have it be clear and concise. It becomes overwhelming.
